A Legacy Rooted in Research and Agricultural Innovation
A Vision Born from Research
The journey of JP INDO GROUP began with a common purpose: to transform Indian agriculture through indigenous innovations, sustainable technologies, and farmer-centric solutions. The foundation of the group was laid by three dedicated scientists—each a specialist in their own field—with deep roots in academia and research. Together, they bring over 40 years of cumulative experience across the domains of plant breeding, biotechnology, soil science, precision agriculture, and data analytics.
Dr. Jag Paul Sharma
– A Stalwart in Plant Breeding
The cornerstone of JP INDO GROUP’s scientific foundation is Dr. Jag Paul Sharma, a legendary figure in Indian plant breeding. With over 35 years of distinguished experience, he has served in multiple leadership roles such as:
- Head, Division of Vegetable Science & Floriculture
- Dean, Faculty of Agriculture, SKUAST-Jammu
- Director Research, SKUAST-Jammu
Dr. Sharma is renowned for developing more than 10–15 nationally acknowledged plant varieties, particularly in vegetables and floriculture, which have had a transformative impact on the farming landscape of North India.
Beyond his academic and breeding achievements, Dr. Sharma is the President of the Society for Integrated Development of Agriculture, Veterinary and Ecological Sciences (SIDAVES), a thriving scientific community of 500+ researchers and professionals working collaboratively to advance integrated agricultural sciences.
His career reflects a rare blend of visionary thinking, grassroots innovation, and scientific leadership that now fuels the strategic direction of JP INDO GROUP.
Dr. Aarushi Singh
– Biotechnologist & Data Scientist Bridging Biology with Digital
A new-age scientist with a multidimensional profile, Dr. Aarushi Singh represents the future of agricultural innovation. With a research background in Plant Pathology and Biotechnology, she has specialized in the development of microbial consortia involving Bacillus, Trichoderma, and Pseudomonas strains — an advancement that contributed to the creation of potent biopesticide formulations.
In addition to her biological research, Aarushi holds a coveted credential as a Data Scientist from IIT Madras, enabling her to integrate biological sciences with data-driven insights. Her contributions are central to JP INDO GROUP’s work on:
- Development of biological crop protection products
- Application of data science in agri-input optimization
- Building AI-ready platforms for modern agriculture
With 3+ years of research experience and multiple scientific publications, Dr. Aarushi brings a dynamic, technology-forward perspective to the group’s innovation engine.
Dr. Vishaw Vikas
– Soil Scientist & GIS Expert with a Passion for Sustainability
Dr. Vishaw Vikas, a highly skilled soil scientist, brings a strong ecological and technological focus to the group. His doctoral work centered on the impact of organic amendments on soil quality, a subject of increasing relevance in the context of sustainable agriculture.
With over 8 years of research experience, Dr. Vikas has worked as a scientist with Indira Research and Development, contributing to both agronomic studies and environmental assessments, including a notable COVID-era project analyzing the impact of lockdowns on air quality.
An expert in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Dr. Vikas has undergone specialized training from the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS-ISRO), bringing a spatial and systems-thinking approach to agri-tech solutions.
As the Director of Operations at JP INDO GROUP, he plays a pivotal role in:
- New fertilizer formulation research
- Development of climate-resilient seed varieties
- Designing precision agri-equipment solutions
- Structuring integrated pest management strategies
Building a New Bharat through Science-led Agriculture
What sets JP INDO GROUP apart is its foundation in real science, real data, and real farming challenges. With each of the founding members having both academic and field experience, the group operates at the intersection of research, product development, and farmer outcomes.
Today, through its four core research divisions:
